CBD
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a chemical known as a cannabinoid, found within plants of the Cannabis genus, and most commonly from hemp. Hemp has a long history of use in various products all over the world, and given its high concentration of CBD (and naturally low levels of THC) it’s an ideal plant for CBD. CBD is a versatile compound, and has been included in tinctures, edibles, lotions, bath bombs, and more.
While both hemp and marijuana are part of the Cannabis genus, being different strains of the Cannabis Sativa plant, they differ in terms of use and their cannabinoid profiles. Hemp, also known as industrial hemp, has naturally high levels of CBD and low levels of THC. When grown by a licensed grower and containing no more than 0.3% THC content, hemp is considered federally legal as a source for CBD products. In contrast, marijuana has naturally higher levels of THC, and relatively low levels of CBD. THC is a psychoactive chemical, and is what gives the ‘high’ that marijuana users report experiencing. Federally legal hemp won’t get you high thanks to its negligible levels of THC.
CBD’s potential benefits remain a topic of serious scientific interest, with multiple studies having been conducted recognizing CBD’s innate properties. Though the Food and Drug Administration does not currently recognize cannabidiol as suitable for food products or as a supplement, it continues to investigate CBD for the role it can serve for consumers in the future. We recommend you take the time to research the uses and effects of CBD, and consult your physician if you have any questions or concerns.
Products that use CBD Isolate generally do not contain THC or other cannabinoids. Our Full Spectrum CBD products contain no more than 0.3% THC content, the federal legal limit for hemp and CBD products. Broad Spectrum CBD products are similar to Full Spectrum CBD, but generally will not have THC.
Full Spectrum CBD is an extract that contains many, or even all, of the natural cannabinoids of the hemp plant. In addition, a full spectrum extract may also contain the terpenes, vitamins, minerals, and other natural components of the hemp plant. While Full Spectrum CBD may contain THC, when grown and processed correctly it is only present in trace amounts. At Buzz, all our CBD products contain no more than 0.3% THC content, which is not enough to experience a ‘high’.
DELTA-8
Delta-8 THC is one of many cannabinoids, which are compounds derived from the cannabis plant. Other cannabinoids you’re probably familiar with are the famous psychoactive Delta-9 THC and non-psychoactive CBD.
Delta-8 THC is a lesser-known cannabinoid that delivers a clearer, less-intense feeling than Delta-9, allowing you to maximize your creativity and relaxation.
Delta-8 THC is derived from hemp that contains less than 0.3 percent Delta-9 THC, so it’s legal to purchase and consume in most states.
You don’t need a medical recommendation, but we’d still suggest perusing your state’s specific laws regarding hemp and THC.
Yes, you need to be 21 or older to purchase or consume Delta-8.
Delta-8 THC occurs naturally in cannabis but in very small concentrations. To commercially produce large quantities of Delta-8, our facilities use molecular isolation, known as isomerization, via a process that involves acid and heat.
The cannabis species has two major subspecies: hemp and marijuana. Hemp is legal in the U.S. if it contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC. All of the Delta-8 THC you’ll find on our site is derived from legal hemp that is grown and cultivated in the USA.
Yes. We take extreme caution in producing our Delta-8, and we use only high-quality ingredients in the creation process.
Our products are lab-tested by an accredited third-party laboratory and created in a GMP/ISO certified facility.
Yes. Your typical urine screen will test for Delta-8 THC in the same way it tests for Delta-9 THC. We don’t recommend trying Buzz products if you’re worried about passing a drug screen.
